Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in estimating competitive bid projects and conceptual budgeting
- Strong interpersonal communication, organizational, and analytical skills
- Proficient in public speaking, coaching, and mentoring
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
- Enjoy building relationships with subcontractors, vendors, and clients
- High ethical standards
- Strong technical expertise, analytical thinking, and attention to detail for accurate cost estimations
- Excellent mathematical and communication skills
- Critical thinking, problem-solving abilities
- Familiarity with construction terminology, especially in carpentry and interiors
- Strong work ethic and adaptability in fast-paced environments
- Must be able to pass background check
Responsibilities
- Organizing estimating activities
- Reviewing and analyzing project documents
- Developing project conditions
- Collaborating with the Chief Estimator or Director of Preconstruction
- Meticulously analyze project plans, specifications, and construction documents
- Gather vital information to craft accurate material and labor estimates
- Preparing and maintaining cost databases
- Sharing insights and innovative ideas that drive project efficiency in carpentry and interiors
- Keeping abreast of industry trends, ensuring our estimating practices not only meet but set benchmarks within the construction industry
