About The Position

As a Carpenter with Primoris Energy Services, you will be responsible for constructing, erecting, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures made of wood and other materials. You will perform a variety of skilled carpentry tasks on industrial and commercial construction projects, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Carpenter in industrial or commercial construction.
Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings.
Proficient in the use of hand and power tools common to the carpentry trade.
Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and safety regulations.
Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting heavy objects, climbing, bending, and kneeling.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Nice To Haves

OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred.

Responsibilities

Study blueprints, sketches, or building plans for information pertaining to the type of material required, such as lumber or fiberboard, and dimensions of structure or fixture to be fabricated.
Select specified type of lumber or other materials and prepare for fabrication.
Measure, cut, or shape wood, plastic, fiberglass, and other materials with hand and power tools.
Build or repair frameworks, roofs, stairways, doorframes, and other wooden fixtures.
Install structures and fixtures, such as windows, doors, and flooring.
Erect scaffolding and ladders for assembling structures above ground level.
Inspect and replace damaged framework or other structures and fixtures.
Supervise and train apprentices or helpers when required.
Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including wearing appropriate PPE.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Perform other duties as assigned.
