Special Services - Carpenter
About The Position
The Korte Company is seeking a Special Services team member for commercial construction work in Las Vegas, Nevada. The role collaborates with the Client Services Manager and Project Managers to facilitate project work, including maintenance projects, small projects, and punch-list completion. Work may include minor metal stud framing, drywall, concrete, plumbing, flooring, and general handyman duties. The position may be performed at a worksite or in the office depending on responsibilities, and may involve assisting with callbacks, warranties, or emergencies after hours. Requirements
- Basic working knowledge of hanging and patching drywall, metal stud framing, minor plumbing, minor electrical work, and general handyman repairs.
- Ability to work independently and with team employees.
- Ability to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately.
- Ability to prioritize and multitask within time constraints.
- Valid driver's license; background check and motor vehicle record check required.
- High school diploma.
- Ability to perform the physical demands of the job, including frequently lifting and/or moving 50 pounds or more.
Nice To Haves
- Prior maintenance or handyman experience is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Complete maintenance projects included in small projects and punch lists.
- Properly operate small hand and power tools, including table saws, chop saws, and drills.
- Determine required project materials and equipment while working with subcontractors and owners.
- Document progress, update completion schedules, and enter information using an iPad or computer.
- Assist with callbacks, warranties, or emergencies, possibly after hours.
- Collaborate with the Client Services Manager and Project Managers to facilitate project work.
