About The Position
West Shore Home is hiring a Carpenter Trainee to assist with safe and effective residential window and exterior door installations in accordance with company standard operating procedures and personal protective equipment protocols. The role includes traveling to customers’ homes and providing a 5-star customer experience through professional communication, careful installation work, and thorough cleanup. The workday starts at the warehouse at 6:30 AM, where employees load materials and trucks before traveling to customer locations. Compensation is approximately $20–$25 per hour; actual pay may vary based on factors such as background, knowledge, skills, abilities, and geographic location. Paid training and professional growth opportunities are offered. Employment is subject to pre-employment screening, including a background check and drug screen.
Requirements
- Experience in carpentry, remodeling, or construction, or a willingness to learn.
- Basic knowledge of hand tools and power tools.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- A valid smartphone or smart device to access company-required systems using two-factor authentication.
Responsibilities
- Arrive at the warehouse by 6:30 AM to load materials and trucks.
- Travel to customers’ homes, greet customers, and establish rapport.
- Remove existing window or door components and install replacement windows and exterior doors.
- Replace trim.
- Thoroughly clean the work area and take care of the customer’s home.
- Collect paperwork and payment, then return to the warehouse.
- Follow company standard operating procedures and personal protective equipment protocols.
