Carhop/ Skating Carhop (server)
About The Position
The Carhop serves products to guests, ensuring items meet operational, quality, and appearance standards before delivery. The role provides friendly, quick, and polite service, responds to guest requests, assists with payment, and handles customer concerns by reporting them to the Manager on Duty (MOD). The Skating Carhop performs duties on roller skates after completing required training. The position also involves clearing trays and trash from guest vehicles, the patio, drive-thru, and parking lot; performing regular cleaning and sanitation; and complying with company policies, procedures, and operational standards. Hours are irregular and include nights, weekends, and holidays. The work takes place in a restaurant environment with continuous standing and other movement, as well as exposure to cooking heat, hot liquid shortening, freezer conditions, and variable outdoor temperatures.
Requirements
- General restaurant or retail knowledge.
- Basic math and reading skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to follow directions.
- Customer service and multitasking skills.
- Ability to carry and balance a tray weighing up to 25 pounds and move or stock food product weighing up to 50 pounds.
- For Skating Carhops, ability to perform duties while on roller skates after completing training requirements.
Responsibilities
- Ensure products meet operational, quality, and appearance standards before delivery.
- Deliver products to guests while carrying and balancing a tray weighing up to 25 pounds.
- Provide friendly, quick, and polite service to guests and promptly respond to requests.
- Report customer complaints and issues to the Manager on Duty (MOD).
- Assist guests with payment and make accurate change quickly and efficiently.
- Clear trays and trash from guests’ vehicles, the patio, drive-thru, and parking lot.
- Comply with company policies, procedures, and operational standards.
- Perform cleaning and sanitation duties, including trash disposal, mopping, sweeping, washing dishes and food preparation tools, wiping counters, sanitizing preparation areas, cleaning equipment, and emptying used grease.
- Maintain regular attendance.
- Report employee complaints and issues to the MOD.
- Move and stock food products weighing up to 50 pounds.
- For Skating Carhops, complete skating training requirements and perform duties while wearing roller skates.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned or required.
