Caregivers and Preschool Teachers
About The Position
At Kamaʻāina Kids, we are seeking experienced Preschool Teachers and Infant & Toddler Caregivers who are ready to bring their skills, creativity, and care to our team. This role involves making everyday moments meaningful for young children, helping them feel safe, learn, and grow. You will be responsible for creating a nurturing environment, planning engaging learning experiences, supporting children's holistic development, and building strong relationships with children and families. Requirements
- At least 18 years old
- High school diploma or GED
- For Preschool Teachers: CDA, Associate’s, or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field
- For Preschool Teachers: 6–12 months of experience in a licensed preschool or childcare program
- For Infant & Toddler Caregivers: 12–24 months of experience working with children under age three in a licensed childcare setting
- For Infant & Toddler Caregivers: Infant/Toddler training, or willingness to complete required training with our support
- Applicants must be eligible to work in the U.S. and reside in Hawaiʻi or have plans to relocate.

- Create a safe, welcoming environment where children feel known and supported
- Plan and lead engaging, developmentally appropriate learning experiences
- Support children's social, emotional, cognitive, language, and physical development
- Encourage curiosity, independence, confidence, and communication
- Incorporate art, music, movement, stories, sensory experiences, and outdoor play
- Build strong, trusting relationships with children and families
- Partner with fellow educators to create a positive classroom community
- Recognize each child as an individual and celebrate their growth along the way
