About The Position
The Roles - Lead Teachers — Twos & PreK You're the heartbeat of the classroom. You'll design engaging days using our P.L.A.N. curriculum, build real relationships with your students, and set the tone for a safe, joyful, well-run room — whether you're guiding curious Twos through their first big discoveries or getting PreK students ready for kindergarten. Assistant Teachers — Twos & PreK You're the extra set of hands, eyes, and hugs every classroom needs. This is a great fit if you're floating between classrooms, supporting a lead teacher, or building experience toward leading your own Twos or PreK room.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of relevant classroom experience (for Lead Teachers)
- 1–3 years of Preschool experience (for Assistant Teachers)
- A bachelor's degree is required (preferably in the field of education). You may also need an MSDE 90hr Preschool Certificate or CDA Certification with Preschool Endorsement (minimum)
- MSDE 90hr Preschool Certificate or CDA Certification with Preschool Endorsement (minimum) (for Assistant Teachers)
- Solid grasp of child development principles and instructional strategies
- Working knowledge of MSDE regulations
- A warm, friendly, unflappable demeanor is a must
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Reliability you could set a clock to
- A team-first attitude and willingness to pitch in wherever needed
- Good communication skills and a calm, friendly presence
- Reliability and punctuality you take seriously
Responsibilities
- Plan and lead daily activities using our P.L.A.N. curriculum, tailored to Twos or PreK age groups
- Build strong, trusting bonds with students and their families
- Own classroom management — creating a consistent, positive environment for kids and staff alike
- Support each child's physical, social-emotional, and developmental growth
- Communicate clearly and warmly with families, colleagues, and your community
- Support the Lead Teacher in bringing our P.L.A.N. curriculum to life
- Help build a safe, nurturing space where kids feel secure and loved
- Jump in wherever needed — floating between classrooms as our thriving school needs
- Support each child's day-to-day needs with patience and care
- Bring positive energy to your team, your students, and their families
