About The Position
Kamaʻāina Kids is seeking experienced Preschool Teachers and Infant & Toddler Caregivers to join their team. This role involves creating a safe and supportive environment for young children, planning and leading engaging learning experiences, and supporting children's overall development. The position emphasizes building strong relationships with children and families, fostering curiosity and independence, and collaborating with fellow educators. The job is located in the Kailua & Kaneohe Area and offers full-time and substitute opportunities.
Requirements
- At least 18 years old
- High school diploma or GED
- For Preschool Teachers: CDA, Associate’s, or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field
- For Preschool Teachers: 6–12 months of experience in a licensed preschool or childcare program
- For Infant & Toddler Caregivers: 12–24 months of experience working with children under age three in a licensed childcare setting
- For Infant & Toddler Caregivers: Infant/Toddler training, or willingness to complete required training with our support
- Applicants must be eligible to work in the U.S. and reside in Hawaiʻi or have plans to relocate.
Nice To Haves

- Create a safe, welcoming environment where children feel known and supported

- Support children's social, emotional, cognitive, language, and physical development
- Encourage curiosity, independence, confidence, and communication
- Incorporate art, music, movement, stories, sensory experiences, and outdoor play
- Build strong, trusting relationships with children and families
- Partner with fellow educators to create a positive classroom community
- Recognize each child as an individual and celebrate their growth along the way
