About The Position

At Kamaʻāina Kids, we are seeking experienced Preschool Teachers and Infant & Toddler Caregivers who are ready to bring their skills, creativity, and care to our team. This role involves making everyday moments meaningful for young children, helping them feel safe, learn, and grow. You will be responsible for creating a safe and welcoming environment, planning and leading engaging learning experiences, supporting children's development, encouraging curiosity and independence, incorporating various activities like art, music, and outdoor play, building strong relationships with children and families, and partnering with fellow educators. We offer opportunities for professional growth, including paid professional development, Child Development Associate (CDA) certification, college tuition assistance, and advancement into Lead Teacher and leadership positions.

Requirements

  • At least 18 years old
  • High school diploma or GED
  • For Preschool Teachers: CDA, Associate’s, or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field
  • For Preschool Teachers: 6–12 months of experience in a licensed preschool or childcare program
  • For Infant & Toddler Caregivers: 12–24 months of experience working with children under age three in a licensed childcare setting
  • For Infant & Toddler Caregivers: Infant/Toddler training, or willingness to complete required training with our support
  • Applicants must be eligible to work in the U.S. and reside in Hawaiʻi or have plans to relocate.
