About The Position

Visiting Angels is hiring compassionate and dependable CAREgivers to provide non-medical care to seniors in their homes, helping them maintain safety, dignity, independence, and quality of life. The role offers flexible scheduling, local assignments matched near the caregiver’s home when possible, paid orientation, comprehensive training, and opportunities for career development and advancement. Pay is listed as $13.00–$16.00 per hour in the job-type details, with a separate base-pay description of $13.00–$18.00 per hour based on experience and opportunities to earn additional shift differentials, bonuses, and referral payments. The position is part-time and work is on the road. All offers are contingent on successful completion of a background check and drug screening.

Requirements

• Be reliable and dependable.
• Be compassionate, patient, and caring, with a passion for helping others.
• Provide reliable transportation.
• Have a valid driver’s license or state ID.
• Successfully complete a background check and drug screening as a condition of an offer.

Nice To Haves

• No prior years of caregiving experience are required; training is provided.
• Experienced CAREgivers may participate in a six-week mentoring program.
• Training opportunities include dementia and palliative care.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with bathing, dressing, grooming, and other daily activities.
• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Perform light housekeeping and meal preparation.
• Assist with errands and appointments.
• Provide medication reminders.
• Support clients with dementia and Alzheimer’s care needs.
• Help clients maintain their independence and quality of life.
