About The Position
Home Helpers Home Care is seeking compassionate caregivers to provide companion care and daily living assistance to elderly clients and people requiring recuperative or continuing care in their homes. The role involves one-on-one client care and carrying out a plan of care that supports each client’s needs. Responsibilities vary by client and may include household tasks, personal care, transportation, and communication with families and the care team. Paid training is offered for caregivers at all experience levels, including state-approved training toward Professional Certified Caregiver (PCC) certification.
Requirements
- Willingness to complete all necessary requirements for employment.
- Valid driver’s license and auto insurance.
- Clean driving record.
- Prior home care experience.
- Access to email and a mobile smart device.
- Understand and respect client ethics and confidentiality of care (HIPAA).
- Open availability.
Responsibilities
- Provide light housekeeping.
- Prepare meals and snacks.
- Provide caring and dependable companionship.
- Assist with personal care and hygiene, including bathing, toileting, and activities of daily living.
- Carry out a plan of care that supports the client.
- Transport clients to and from appointments and activities.
- Communicate professionally with families and the care team.
- Collaborate with the Home Helpers team and the client’s family to create compassionate, supportive solutions for the client’s unique needs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
