About The Position

Home Helpers Home Care is seeking compassionate caregivers to provide companion care and daily living assistance to elderly individuals and people requiring recuperative or continuing care. Caregivers provide one-on-one client care in clients’ homes and carry out a care plan suited to each client’s needs. The role includes paid training, including state-approved training toward a Professional Certified Caregiver (PCC) credential, and opportunities to learn new skills and grow professionally. Schedules are flexible, but applicants must have open availability.

Requirements

• Complete all necessary employment requirements.
• Have a valid driver’s license and auto insurance.
• Have a clean driving record.
• Have prior home care experience.
• Have access to email and a mobile smart device.
• Understand and respect client ethics and confidentiality of care (HIPAA).
• Have open availability.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and dependable support to clients.
• Perform light housekeeping.
• Prepare meals and snacks.
• Assist with personal care and hygiene, including bathing, toileting, and activities of daily living.
• Carry out a plan of care that supports the client.
• Transport clients to and from appointments and activities.
• Communicate professionally with clients’ families and the care team.
• Collaborate with the Home Helpers team and clients’ families to develop compassionate solutions for clients’ unique needs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
