About The Position
Preferred Care at Home of Greater Huntsville is hiring dependable CNAs and experienced caregivers for immediate assignments in Huntsville, Madison, Athens, Alabama, and surrounding areas. The role provides in-person senior care, with day, evening, and overnight shifts available. Scheduling is flexible, and on-call and holiday availability may be required. Applicants can self-schedule a Zoom interview from home.
Requirements
- At least two years of caregiving experience or CNA certification.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Must pass a background screening.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- High school diploma or GED.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care, including bathing, grooming, toileting, and incontinence care.
- Provide mobility support and transfers.
- Use assistive devices such as gait belts, walkers, wheelchairs, and Hoyer lifts.
- Help prevent falls and promote general safety.
- Reposition bedbound clients to prevent discomfort.
- Provide companionship and assistance with daily living.
- Follow care plans and ensure client safety.
- Perform light housekeeping.
- Prepare meals.
- Engage clients in hobbies, games, or activities.
- Monitor clients for changes in mood or behavior.
- Provide conversation and social interaction.
- Remind clients to take medications as scheduled.
