About The Position

As a Caregiver at Sevita, you will support people with developmental goals and help them grow, learn, and live well. You will build meaningful relationships, help participants take part in their community and enjoy favorite activities, and support goals such as budgeting, exercise, and nutrition. You will also assist with personal hygiene and support individuals who may have behavioral challenges and other complex needs. The role calls for compassion, patience, reliability, and initiative. The posting lists full-time positions and also a part-time schedule of 11 hours per week: Sunday 9 a.m.–5 p.m. and Friday noon–3 p.m. Pay is $17.00 per hour.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid driver's license held for at least one year after the permit period.
Clean motor vehicle record that meets Sevita's insurability policy.
Access to a registered vehicle and proof of insurance.
Communication, adaptability, multitasking, teamwork, and time-management skills.
Patient, compassionate, reliable, and responsible behaviors.

Nice To Haves

Six months of experience in human services, direct care, or care coordination is preferred.
