Caregiver
About The Position
Caregivers at Sevita help people grow, learn, and live well while building meaningful relationships with the individuals they serve. They support participants in pursuing developmental goals, taking part in community life, and enjoying favorite activities. The role includes assisting with personal hygiene and supporting individuals who may have behavioral challenges and other complex needs. This is a residential-setting position scheduled Thursday through Saturday, 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. The listed hourly wage is $19.95. Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Six months of experience in human services, direct care, or care coordination.
- Communication, adaptability, multitasking, teamwork, and time-management skills.
- Patient, compassionate, reliable, and responsible behavior.
- A valid driver's license held for at least one year.
- Access to a registered vehicle and proof of insurance.
Responsibilities
- Build meaningful relationships with the individuals served.
- Help participants take part in the community and enjoy their favorite activities.
- Support participants with developmental goals, including budgeting, exercise, and nutrition.
- Assist individuals with personal hygiene.
- Support individuals with behavioral challenges and other complex needs.
