About The Position

Visiting Angels’ Webster Groves office is seeking caregivers to provide compassionate care to senior adults and others in need throughout the St. Louis area. Caregivers support clients with companionship, light housekeeping, meal preparation, transportation, mobility assistance, personal care, and other day-to-day needs. The role offers opportunities for advanced training in areas such as dementia care and Alzheimer’s care to support continued skill development. Shift options include long shifts of 7–12 hours and short shifts of 2–6 hours, with a flexible work schedule.

Requirements

Passion for serving others and providing caregiving.
Excellent knowledge of emergency response and first aid.
Knowledge of housekeeping activities and cooking, with attention to dietary constraints.
Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards.
Respectful and compassionate manner.
Good time management skills.
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong ethics.
Physical endurance.
High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Help clients take prescribed medication.
Assist clients with ambulation and mobility at home and outside the home, including for appointments and walks.
Assist clients with personal care and hygiene.
Help clients with routine exercises.
Plan and prepare meals with clients’ assistance when they are able.
Do clients’ shopping or accompany them while shopping.
Perform light housekeeping duties clients cannot complete on their own.
Provide pleasant and supportive companionship.
Report unusual incidents.
Act quickly and responsibly in emergencies.
Provide transportation and one-on-one mobility assistance.
