About The Position
Senior Helpers Caregivers provide one-on-one personal care to help clients remain safe and independent in their homes. The role is suited to caring and compassionate people who enjoy helping others, take pride in making a difference in clients’ lives, and are interested in professional growth. Caregivers make a positive impact on clients and their families by providing companionship, assistance with daily activities and personal care, and updates about clients’ well-being. The position serves Burnsville, Lakeville, Apple Valley, Eagan, Prior Lake, Shakopee, Savage, and surrounding areas.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years old or older.
- Caring and compassionate, with an enjoyment of helping others.
- Willingness to learn new skills to best assist clients.
- Excellent English communication skills.
- At least 1 year of professional caregiving experience or experience caring for a loved one.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in healthcare, home care, assisted living, independent living, home health, medical assistance, or nursing assistance.
Responsibilities
- Provide companionship and help clients participate in activities they enjoy.
- Assist clients with daily tasks, including preparing meals, driving to appointments, and housekeeping.
- Assist clients with walking, dressing, bathing, and other personal care needs.
- Record activities completed or not completed with clients.
- Provide updates on clients’ physical condition, mental capacity, and behavior.
