About The Position

Always Best Care Chicagoland is hiring compassionate caregivers to provide non-medical home care to seniors in Oakbrook, Illinois. The goal is to help clients remain safe and independent in their homes. Caregivers follow each client’s care plan and support their daily needs, while promptly reporting unusual incidents and responding responsibly to emergencies. Training is provided. The agency serves DuPage, Will, and Cook Counties.

Requirements

• At least one year of caregiving or home care experience.
• Willingness to follow health and safety standards.
• Knowledge of housekeeping and cooking, with attention to dietary constraints.
• Respectful and compassionate demeanor and good bedside manner.
• Strong communication, time-management, and interpersonal skills.
• Driver’s license.
• Physical endurance to complete required tasks.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to work in the USA.
• Must be very reliable.

Responsibilities

• Provide medication reminders.
• Assist clients with ambulation and mobility at home and outside, including appointments and walks.
• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene.
• Help clients complete physical therapy and other recommended exercises.
• Shop for clients or accompany them while shopping, as needed.
• Perform light housekeeping tasks clients cannot complete themselves, including meal preparation.
• Report unusual incidents to the Care Coordinator.
• Act quickly and responsibly in emergencies.
• Follow the client’s care plan.
