About The Position

Always Best Care Chicagoland is hiring compassionate caregivers to provide non-medical home care to seniors in Palos Heights, Illinois. The role helps clients remain safe and independent in their homes and supports their health and well-being. The agency provides training for caregivers. The position may be full-time or part-time and is performed in person.

Requirements

At least 1 year of caregiving or home care experience; required.
Willingness to follow health and safety standards.
Knowledge of housekeeping and cooking, with attention to dietary constraints.
Respectful and compassionate manner, with good bedside manner.
Strong communication, time-management, and interpersonal skills.
Driver’s license; required.
Physical endurance to complete required tasks.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Must be able to work in the USA.
Must be reliable.
Must be willing to work full-time or part-time.

Responsibilities

Provide medication reminders.
Assist clients with ambulation and mobility at home and outside, including during appointments and walks.
Assist clients with personal care and hygiene.
Help clients complete physical therapy and other recommended exercises.
Shop for clients or accompany them while shopping, when needed.
Perform light housekeeping tasks clients cannot complete themselves, including meal preparation.
Report unusual incidents to the Care Coordinator.
Respond quickly and responsibly to emergencies.
Follow the client’s care plan.
