About The Position

Always Best Care Chicagoland is hiring compassionate caregivers to provide non-medical home care for seniors in Orland Park, Illinois. The goal is to help clients remain safe and independent in their homes. Caregivers follow each client’s care plan and support clients with daily activities, personal care, mobility, exercises, meal preparation, and light housekeeping. The agency serves DuPage, Will, and Cook Counties. Full-time, part-time, and live-in shift availability is stated.

Requirements

At least one year of caregiving or home care experience.
Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards.
Knowledge of housekeeping activities and cooking, with attention to dietary constraints.
Respectful, compassionate manner and good bedside manner.
Strong communication, time management, and interpersonal skills.
Driver’s license.
Physical endurance to complete required tasks.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Must be able to work in the USA.
Must be very reliable.
Must be willing to work full-time or part-time.

Responsibilities

Provide medication reminders.
Assist clients with ambulation and mobility at home and outside the home, including walks and doctor’s appointments.
Assist clients with personal care and hygiene.
Help clients complete physical therapy and other recommended exercises.
Do clients’ shopping or accompany them while shopping when needed.
Perform light housekeeping tasks clients cannot complete on their own, including meal preparation.
Report unusual incidents to the Care Coordinator.
Respond quickly and responsibly in emergencies.
Follow the client’s care plan.
