About The Position

Always Best Care Chicagoland is hiring compassionate caregivers to provide non-medical home care to seniors in Franklin Park, Illinois. The goal is to help clients remain safe and independent in their homes and support their health and well-being. The agency provides training for caregivers and describes its team as caring, compassionate, customer-centric, rewarding, and engaging. Caregivers may work full-time or part-time. The position is in person and involves assisting clients at home and accompanying them outside when needed. Compensation starts at $19 to $20 per hour. The agency serves DuPage, Will, and Cook Counties.

Requirements

At least 1 year of caregiving or home care experience; caregiving experience is required.
Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards.
Knowledge of housekeeping activities and cooking, with attention to dietary constraints.
Respectful and compassionate manner with good bedside manner.
Outstanding communication, time-management, and interpersonal skills.
Valid driver’s license.
Physical endurance to complete required tasks.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Must be able to work in the USA.
Must be very reliable.
Must be willing to work full-time or part-time.

Responsibilities

Provide medication reminders.
Assist clients with ambulation and mobility at home and outside, including doctor’s appointments and walks.
Assist clients with personal care and hygiene.
Help clients complete physical therapy and other recommended exercises.
Shop for clients or accompany them while shopping, as needed.
Perform light housekeeping clients cannot complete themselves, including meal preparation.
Report unusual incidents to the Care Coordinator.
Act quickly and responsibly in emergencies.
Follow the client’s care plan.
