About The Position
ComForCare Home Care is hiring in-home caregivers to help seniors and adults maintain their independence in the comfort of their own homes. Caregivers provide compassionate, non-medical care that supports clients’ safety, comfort, and dignity while giving their families peace of mind. Training, guidance, and support are provided. The position welcomes applicants who are new to caregiving as well as those with experience as a caregiver, Personal Care Assistant (PCA), Home Health Aide (HHA), or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA).
Requirements
- Willingness to learn; prior experience is not necessary.
- Reliable transportation for client visits.
- Compassionate, dependable, and professional demeanor.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Reliability, punctuality, and professionalism.
- Ability to lift up to 25–50 lbs and assist with physical transfers.
- May be required to complete a background check as a condition of employment, consistent with Connecticut state regulations and applicable federal law.
Nice To Haves
- Experience as a caregiver, Personal Care Assistant, Home Health Aide, or Certified Nursing Assistant.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with bathing, grooming, dressing, and personal hygiene.
- Help clients safely transfer and ambulate.
- Prepare meals and assist with feeding.
- Perform light housekeeping and laundry.
- Provide medication reminders.
- Offer companionship and conversation.
- Transport clients to appointments and errands when applicable.
- Monitor client well-being and report changes to the care team.
