About The Position

Assisting Hands Deerfield is hiring compassionate, dependable caregivers to provide assistance and support to clients in their homes. Caregivers help clients remain safe, independent, and comfortable while providing personalized support rooted in dignity and respect.

The role includes companionship, personal care, light housekeeping, meal preparation, and medication reminders. Shifts are available on weekdays and weekends, including mornings, evenings, and overnights. Full-time, part-time, and flexible-hour positions are offered, with an immediate start available. Starting pay is $19 to $22 per hour. Hours over 40 and hours worked on holidays are paid at time and a half.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of caregiving experience.
• Reliable transportation.
• Comfortable helping both male and female clients.
• Experience helping with personal care.
• No restrictions concerning type of care.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship, including conversation, playing games, and watching TV.
• Assist clients with personal care, including bathing, dressing, and toileting.
• Perform light housekeeping.
• Prepare meals.
• Provide medication reminders.
