About The Position

Griswold Home Care for Howard County is hiring part-time Caregivers, PCAs, and CNAs to provide personal care, companionship, and homemaking services to older adults in Howard County, Maryland. The role offers flexible scheduling and is supported by a caregiver-focused team with around-the-clock office support. The posting also notes willingness to travel within the Carroll County service area.

Caregivers assist clients with personal care, household tasks, meals, errands, transportation, and dementia and memory care. They also keep families and the office updated through regular care notes.

Requirements

• CPR certification is required.
• TB clearance per CDC guidance and Maryland RSA regulations.
• Comfort working in pet-friendly homes, including homes with cats and dogs.
• Valid driver's license and a reliable personal vehicle with current insurance and registration.
• Willingness to travel within the Carroll County service area.
• Must successfully pass a criminal background check.

Nice To Haves

• CNA certification is a plus but is not required.
• At least one year of caregiving or home care experience is preferred.
• High school diploma or GED is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care, including bathing, grooming, and toileting.
• Perform light housekeeping and prepare meals.
• Shop for groceries and transport clients to and from appointments.
• Provide dementia and memory care support.
• Keep families and the office updated with regular care notes.
