Urgent Caregiver WEEKEND SHIFTS
About The Position
Qualicare Home Care SF Bay Area is hiring caregivers to provide compassionate, one-on-one, non-medical care that helps clients live safely and independently in their homes. The position offers $20–$23 per hour and flexible scheduling, with short and long shifts, extended care opportunities, and overnight shifts available. Daytime, evening, and weekend opportunities are offered; weekend availability is needed. The employer welcomes experienced caregivers, students pursuing healthcare careers, and people seeking flexible work. Paid training and orientation, nurse mentorship, and ongoing support are provided. The role serves clients in Contra Costa and Alameda Counties.
Requirements
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray.
- Access to a mobile phone.
- Ability to travel within Contra Costa and Alameda Counties.
- Valid California Driver’s License and reliable transportation.
- Availability for weekend shifts.
Nice To Haves
- Home Care Aide (HCA) registration is preferred; the employer can guide applicants through the registration process.
- Prior caregiving experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care and hygiene.
- Prepare meals and perform light housekeeping.
- Provide companionship and emotional support.
- Accompany clients on outings, shopping trips, and errands.
- Provide non-medical medication reminders.
- Assist with ambulation and safe client transfers.
- Follow individualized care plans and client-specific instructions.
- Complete required documentation and charting accurately.
