About The Position
Griswold Home Care for Howard County is hiring part-time caregivers, PCAs, and CNAs to provide personal care, companionship, and homemaking services to older adults in Howard County, Maryland. Caregivers assist clients with daily needs and keep families and the office informed through regular care notes. The role offers flexible scheduling and a caregiver-focused team with office support. The posting also refers to travel within the Carroll County service area.
Requirements
- Be caring, reliable, and responsible.
- CPR certification is required.
- Obtain TB clearance in accordance with CDC guidance and Maryland RSA regulations.
- Have a valid driver's license and a reliable personal vehicle with current insurance and registration.
- Be willing to travel within the Carroll County service area.
- Successfully pass a criminal background check.
- Be comfortable working in pet-friendly homes, including homes with cats and dogs.
Nice To Haves
- CNA certification is a plus but is not required.
- At least one year of caregiving or home care experience is preferred.
- A high school diploma or GED is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care, including bathing, grooming, and toileting.
- Provide light housekeeping and prepare meals.
- Shop for groceries and transport clients to and from appointments.
- Provide dementia and memory care support.
- Keep families and the office updated with regular care notes.
