About The Position

Home Helpers Home Care of Gwinnett is hiring an experienced, compassionate, and dependable Caregiver to provide care for a client in Lawrenceville, Georgia. The caregiver will support the client with daily living needs, mobility, meals, medication reminders, and light housekeeping while maintaining a safe, clean environment and treating the client with dignity, patience, and respect. The client has left-sided weakness following a stroke that affects balance, walking, and transfers, and is at risk of falling. The schedule is Saturday from 9 AM to 4 PM and Sunday from 11 AM to 4 PM. Compensation is $15 per hour. Requirements

At least 3 years of caregiving experience.
Dependable, punctual, and professional.
Compassionate and patient, with a genuine desire to help others.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to follow instructions and care plans.
Must meet applicable background check and hiring requirements.
Driver's license.
Social Security card.
Negative TB test results.
CPR/First Aid certificate.
Car insurance.

Responsibilities

Assist the client with meal preparation and eating as needed.
Assist with showering, dressing, toileting, and changing adult undergarments.
Provide medication reminders according to the care plan.
Assist with transfers, walking, and mobility, taking extra precautions because of the client's fall risk and stroke-related weakness.
Change bed linens and make the bed.
Perform light housekeeping, including bathroom cleaning, vacuuming, laundry, and taking out the trash.
Maintain a safe and clean environment and treat the client with dignity, patience, and respect.
