Full time caregiver needed in St. Petersburg
About The Position
Community Resource Network of Florida is seeking a fun, compassionate, and dependable caregiver to help a young female with intellectual and developmental disabilities achieve greater independence and live her best life. The caregiver will provide support with activities of daily living, physical transfers, personal hygiene, and community outings. This position is offered on an independent contractor basis, not as company employment, and pays $16.00 per hour. The schedule is Monday through Friday from 2:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to pass Local and Level 2 Background Screening.
- At least one year of caregiving experience or technical training.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 18 years of age.
- Positive outlook and contagious energy.
- Patience and compassion.
Responsibilities
- Encourage and support the individual during activities at home.
- Assist with personal hygiene tasks.
- Prepare meals and perform light cleaning.
- Ensure the individual's safety and maintain a safe living environment.
- Accompany the individual to social events and community outings, including grocery shopping and appointments.
- Promote communication, choice, independence, and socialization.
- Complete daily progress notes.
- Support the individual with activities of daily living and physical transfers.
