About The Position

Preferred Care at Home of Greater Huntsville is hiring dependable CNAs and experienced caregivers for immediate assignments in Huntsville, Alabama, and surrounding areas. The role provides in-person senior care, with flexible scheduling and day, evening, and overnight shifts available. Applicants can self-schedule a Zoom interview from home. On-call and holiday availability may be required.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of caregiving experience or CNA certification.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Must pass a background screening.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care, including bathing, grooming, toileting, and incontinence care.
• Provide mobility support and assist with transfers.
• Use assistive devices such as gait belts, walkers, wheelchairs, and Hoyer lifts.
• Help prevent falls and maintain general safety awareness.
• Reposition bedbound clients to prevent discomfort.
• Provide companionship and daily living assistance.
• Follow care plans and ensure client safety.
• Perform light housekeeping.
• Prepare meals.
• Engage clients in hobbies, games, or other activities.
• Monitor clients for changes in mood or behavior.
• Provide conversation and social interaction.
• Remind clients to take medications as scheduled.
