About The Position

Preferred Care at Home of Greater Huntsville is hiring dependable CNAs and experienced caregivers for immediate assignments in Madison, Huntsville, and surrounding areas. Caregivers support clients with personal care, mobility, safety, companionship, and daily living activities while following care plans. The position is in person, with flexible scheduling and day, evening, and overnight shifts available. Full-time, part-time, and PRN roles are listed. Interviews can be scheduled remotely by Zoom.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of caregiving experience or CNA certification.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Must pass a background screening.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with bathing, grooming, toileting, and incontinence care.
• Provide mobility support and transfers.
• Use assistive devices, including gait belts, walkers, wheelchairs, and Hoyer lifts.
• Help prevent falls and maintain general safety awareness.
• Reposition bedbound clients to prevent discomfort.
• Provide companionship and daily living assistance.
• Follow care plans and ensure client safety.
• Perform light housekeeping.
• Prepare meals.
• Engage clients in hobbies, games, or other activities.
• Monitor clients for changes in mood or behavior.
• Provide conversation and social interaction.
• Remind clients to take medications as scheduled.
