Seeking Experienced Caregiver for Assignments
About The Position
Preferred Care at Home of Greater Huntsville is hiring dependable CNAs and experienced caregivers for immediate assignments in Huntsville, Alabama, and surrounding areas. The position provides in-person senior-care services, with full-time, part-time, and PRN schedules available. Caregivers assist clients with personal care and daily living, mobility and transfers, safety, companionship, meal preparation, and light housekeeping while following care plans and monitoring clients for changes. Day, evening, and overnight shifts are available, with flexible scheduling; on-call and holiday availability may be required. Interviews can be scheduled remotely by Zoom.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of caregiving experience or CNA certification.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Must pass a background screening.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- High school diploma or GED.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with bathing, grooming, toileting, and incontinence care.
- Provide mobility support and transfers.
- Use assistive devices, including gait belts, walkers, wheelchairs, and Hoyer lifts.
- Assist with fall prevention and general safety awareness.
- Reposition bedbound clients to prevent discomfort.
- Offer companionship and daily living assistance.
- Follow care plans and ensure client safety.
- Perform light housekeeping.
- Prepare meals.
- Engage clients in hobbies, games, or other activities.
- Monitor clients for changes in mood or behavior.
- Provide conversation and social interaction.
- Remind clients to take medications as scheduled.
