About The Position

HomeWell Care Services of NWI is seeking compassionate Caregivers to enhance seniors’ lives and support their ability to age in place in their own homes. Caregivers work one-on-one with clients, providing non-medical services and building relationships with seniors. The role focuses on delivering in-home care with empathy, excellence, and integrity. Full-time or part-time options are available.

Requirements

No healthcare certification is required.
Daily access to email, the Internet, and a mobile phone.
Provide proof of a current negative tuberculosis (TB) test, as required by the State of Indiana.
Be physically able to perform the position’s duties, including lifting, pushing, and pulling approximately 25 pounds.
Have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation, with proof of a valid driver's license and automobile insurance.
Have a compassionate heart for older adults.
Possess excellent communication skills.
Be mature, caring, punctual, and reliable.

Nice To Haves

CNA or HHA certification, or at least six months of experience caring for geriatric, chronically ill, or disabled persons.
Experience with dementia and Alzheimer's care.

Responsibilities

Provide social companionship.
Assist with daily living tasks, including feeding, medication reminders, bathing, dressing, personal hygiene, grooming, and toileting.
Perform light housekeeping, light cleaning, laundry, and cooking or meal preparation.
Provide transportation to appointments, errands, and social outings.
Provide standby assistance with transfers.
Provide overnight safety assistance.
