About The Position

Griswold Home Care is hiring a full-time Certified Nursing Assistant to provide non-medical elderly care and companionship in clients’ homes. The role helps seniors live as fully and independently as possible while remaining in familiar surroundings. Caregivers support clients with personal care and daily activities, including bathing, feeding, hygiene, laundry, grocery shopping, and meal preparation. Some clients may have dementia or cognitive impairments. Caregivers complete shift documentation and communicate routinely with the office about clients’ conditions and needs. Flexible hours are available, and the employer is willing to provide training. Shifts listed include Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m.–8 p.m., and Friday through Sunday, 8 p.m.–8 a.m. (awake overnight).

Requirements

Certified Nursing Assistant certification.
Reliable transportation.
A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Two or more years of home care experience is a plus; caring for a loved one counts.
Compassionate, positive, punctual, and dependable approach to care.

Responsibilities

Reposition clients.
Provide medication reminders.
Assist with feeding.
Perform light housekeeping.
Provide catheter support.
Assist with physical therapy exercises.
Help clients with bathing, personal hygiene, and other daily tasks while preserving their dignity.
Provide companionship and care for clients, including those with dementia or cognitive impairments.
Assist with laundry, grocery shopping, and meal preparation.
Complete documentation for each shift and submit timely updates.
Communicate routinely with the office about clients’ conditions and needs.
