About The Position

Griswold Home Care is hiring a full-time Caregiver, with Certified Nursing Assistant certification required. The role provides non-medical elderly care and companionship to help seniors live as independently and fully as possible in their homes. Caregivers support clients with daily living needs while preserving their dignity, including personal hygiene, bathing, feeding, and companionship for clients who may have dementia or cognitive impairments. The job also involves completing shift documentation and communicating routinely with the office about clients’ condition and needs. Flexible hours are offered, and clients may need as little as four hours of care or as much as 24-hour care. Listed shifts include Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m.–8 p.m., and Friday through Sunday, 8 p.m.–8 a.m. (awake overnight). Compensation is $23 per hour plus overtime; the posting also describes a competitive wage range of $20–$23 per hour.

Requirements

Certified Nursing Assistant certification.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Two or more years of home care experience is a plus; caring for a loved one counts.

Responsibilities

Reposition clients.
Provide medication reminders.
Assist with feeding.
Perform light housekeeping.
Provide catheter support.
Support clients with physical therapy exercises.
Help seniors with personal hygiene and daily tasks, including bathing.
Provide companionship, including to clients with dementia or cognitive impairments.
Assist with laundry, grocery shopping, and meal preparation.
Complete documentation for each shift and submit timely updates.
Communicate routinely with the office about clients’ condition and needs.
