About The Position
Brandywine Living at Mahwah by Monarch Communities is hiring a weekend Caregiver (HHA/CNA) for its assisted living community in Mahwah, New Jersey. The role provides warm, engaging personal care, support, and companionship to residents. Caregivers assist residents with activities of daily living, observe changes in residents’ condition and personal care needs, and update their Resident Care Plans accordingly. They also encourage residents to participate in community programs and activities. Open shifts are 7 a.m.–3 p.m., 3 p.m.–11 p.m., and 11 p.m.–7 a.m. The listed hourly rate is $21.31. Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least one year of resident care experience.
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Certified Home Health Aide (HHA) certification.
- Ability to speak, read, and write in English.
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge and experience working with the elderly population.
- Dementia experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide warm, engaging personal care services, support, and companionship to residents.
- Engage and assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs).
- Observe changes in residents’ condition and personal care needs and update their Resident Care Plans.
- Encourage resident participation in community programs and activities.
