About The Position
The Caregiver provides warm, engaging personal care, support, and companionship to residents at Brandywine Assisted Living in Mahwah, New Jersey. The role focuses on assisting residents with activities of daily living, observing changes in their condition and personal care needs, helping update their Resident Care Plans, and encouraging participation in community programs and activities. This is a weekends-only, part-time position with shifts available from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., 3 p.m. to 11 p.m., and 11 p.m. to 7 a.m. Compensation is up to $21.31 per hour.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least one year of resident care experience.
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Certified Home Health Aid (HHA) certification.
- Ability to speak, read, and write in English.
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge and experience working with the elderly population.
- Dementia experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide residents with warm, engaging personal care, support, and companionship.
- Engage and assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs).
- Observe changes in residents’ day and personal care needs and update their Resident Care Plan.
- Encourage residents to participate in community programs and activities.
