About The Position

Astoria Senior Living, an Agemark Senior Living community in Omaha, Nebraska, is seeking a compassionate and dependable Caregiver to help residents with daily living and support their well-being. The role focuses on building meaningful connections, encouraging residents’ independence and involvement in daily routines, and bringing joy to their days through activities and conversation. Caregivers provide assistance with patience, respect, and compassion while helping protect residents’ dignity.

Requirements

• Bring a friendly and encouraging approach to each day.
• Have a genuine interest in helping older adults.
• Collaborate with and support coworkers.
• Listen, communicate clearly, and respond with patience.
• Be available to work the assigned schedule, including weekends and holidays as needed.

• Previous caregiving experience is helpful but not required; training is provided.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with dressing, bathing, meals, and other personal needs.
• Encourage residents to remain active and involved in their daily routines.
• Monitor residents for changes in condition and promptly report concerns.
• Build meaningful relationships with residents, families, and team members.
• Engage residents in activities, conversations, and other enjoyable moments.
• Provide dependable support with patience, respect, and compassion.
