About The Position

HomeWell Care Services of NWI is seeking compassionate Caregivers to provide one-on-one, non-medical in-home care to seniors and others who want to age in place. Caregivers help enhance clients’ quality of life by providing support with daily living, companionship, transportation, and safety while working with empathy, excellence, and integrity. Full-time and part-time options are available, with flexible scheduling.

Requirements

• No healthcare certification is required.
• Have daily access to email, the Internet, and a mobile phone.
• Provide proof of a current negative tuberculosis (TB) test, as required by the State of Indiana.
• Be physically able to perform the position’s duties, including lifting, pushing, and pulling approximately 25 pounds.
• Have a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and proof of valid driver’s license and automobile insurance.
• Have a compassionate heart for older adults.
• Possess excellent communication skills.
• Be mature, caring, punctual, and reliable.

Nice To Haves

• CNA or HHA certification, or at least six months of experience caring for geriatric, chronically ill, or disabled persons.
• Experience with dementia and Alzheimer’s care.

Responsibilities

• Provide social companionship.
• Assist with daily living tasks, including feeding, medication reminders, bathing, dressing, personal hygiene, grooming, and toileting.
• Perform light housekeeping, cleaning, laundry, and cooking or meal preparation.
• Provide transportation to appointments, errands, and social outings.
• Offer standby assistance with transfers.
• Provide overnight safety assistance.
• Provide other care as needed.
