About The Position

McLeod Home Care, a non-medical home care agency serving counties in South Carolina and Georgia, is hiring experienced, caring, and compassionate Care Professionals. Caregivers provide support according to each client's custom care plan, with tasks varying by assignment. The agency offers full-time and part-time positions with flexible schedules and shifts ranging from 4 to 12 hours, Monday through Sunday. Day, night, and overnight shifts are available. Starting pay is $15.25 per hour; after working more than 16 hours per week for four consecutive weeks, the hourly rate increases by $1.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old.
• Have a high school diploma or GED.
• Have any state-mandated certification.
• Pass a drug test and background check.
• Have a minimum of 1 to 2+ years of adult personal care assistance experience.
• Have a minimum of 1+ year of professional or personal experience supporting individuals with disabilities, mental illnesses, or challenging behaviors.
• If transporting clients, have a valid South Carolina driver's license, current vehicle registration and insurance, and a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care, including dressing, bathing, and grooming.
• Perform light housekeeping.
• Prepare meals and snacks.
• Provide transportation and run errands for clients.
• Monitor clients' conditions.
• Update care notes.
• Provide dementia and Alzheimer's care.
• Provide companion care.
• Conduct home safety inspections.
