About The Position
Silverado Barton Springs is hiring compassionate Caregivers to provide hands-on support to residents living with Alzheimer’s, dementia, and other memory-impairing conditions. The role combines empathy, reliability, and relationship-building to help residents live with dignity and joy in a safe, respectful, and engaging environment. This is a PRN (per diem) position with variable days and multiple shifts available.
Requirements
- Reliable transportation to meet attendance and punctuality standards.
- Effective verbal and written English communication skills.
- Ability to walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Comfort working around animals and pets.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma, GED, or educational equivalent preferred.
- Experience caring for individuals with Alzheimer’s, dementia, or other debilitating conditions is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate care and assistance with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and dining.
- Build meaningful relationships with residents, families, and fellow team members.
- Support residents with memory impairments in a safe, respectful, and engaging environment.
- Maintain accurate care records and report changes to the nursing team.
