About The Position

Silverado Brea is hiring a PRN Caregiver to provide hands-on support to residents living with Alzheimer’s, dementia, and other memory-impairing conditions. The role calls for compassion, reliability, patience, integrity, and a commitment to helping residents live with dignity and joy. Caregivers work in a team-focused environment and build relationships with residents, families, and fellow team members. The schedule is per diem, with multiple shifts available on variable days. The anticipated pay range is $19–$22 USD. Employment offers are contingent on a background check, drug screening, physical, and TB testing if applicable. Silverado uses E-Verify to confirm work authorization.

Requirements

Reliable transportation to meet attendance and punctuality standards.
Effective verbal and written communication in English.
Ability to perform active work involving walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
Comfort working around animals and pets.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma, GED, or educational equivalent preferred.
Experience caring for individuals with Alzheimer’s, dementia, or other debilitating conditions preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care and assistance with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and dining.
Build meaningful relationships with residents, families, and fellow team members.
Support residents with memory impairments in a safe, respectful, and engaging environment.
Maintain accurate care records and report changes to the nursing team.
