Caregiver (Personal Care Assistant)
About The Position
Sunrise Senior Living’s Caregivers provide hands-on support to residents while building meaningful relationships and helping improve their quality of life. The role includes assisting residents with activities of daily living, following individualized service plans, and promoting safety, dignity, and independence. Caregivers also engage residents in conversation and daily activities, support dining services, maintain a clean and welcoming environment, and communicate with families and care leaders. In Memory Care, Caregivers create enriching experiences for residents with memory loss. Paid training and career growth opportunities are highlighted.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least 18 years of age.
- HHA, PCA, or CNA license.
- CPR/First Aid certification, or ability to obtain it.
- Compassion, reliability, and strong communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility, and personal care.
- Follow Individualized Service Plans (ISP) and document changes.
- Promote resident safety, dignity, and independence.
- Engage residents through conversation and daily activities.
- Support dining services and maintain a clean, welcoming environment.
- Communicate effectively with families and care leaders.
- In Memory Care, create enriching experiences for residents with memory loss.
