About The Position

Amada Senior Care is hiring caregivers in Pasadena, Texas, to provide compassionate, non-medical in-home support to seniors, including veterans. Caregivers help clients live safely, comfortably, and independently by providing essential assistance, companionship, and emotional support while respecting their dignity. The role requires travel to clients within a 20-mile radius of the caregiver’s home address and the ability to work with male and female clients. Full-time and part-time opportunities are available, including flexible scheduling, weekend, and overnight shifts. Pay is $12–$16 per hour.

Requirements

Valid driver's license, valid auto insurance, and reliable transportation.
Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
At least 2 years of experience in healthcare or an in-home care environment.
Ability and willingness to travel within a 20-mile radius of the caregiver’s home address.
Ability and willingness to work with both male and female clients.
Ability to perform all essential job functions, with or without reasonable accommodations.
Supportive, compassionate, dependable, and professional attitude.

Responsibilities

Provide meaningful conversation, emotional support, and companionship to elderly clients.
Assist clients with personal care, including showering, bathing, toileting, and dressing.
Remind clients to take prescribed medications as directed.
Help clients move safely around their homes and accompany them on walks and to doctor's appointments.
Plan and prepare meals according to clients’ needs.
Complete shopping errands for clients or accompany them while shopping.
Perform light housekeeping to maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable living environment.
Report unusual incidents and respond promptly and responsibly to emergencies.
Encourage and assist clients with activities essential to their everyday lives.
