About The Position

Homewatch CareGivers is seeking an in-home Caregiver near its Glendora location. The Caregiver provides compassionate support to clients in their own homes, helping them remain safe, comfortable, engaged, and respected. The role offers a flexible schedule, meaningful work, opportunities to develop caregiving skills through online training, and the chance to advance to team leadership positions. Caregivers use the Care app to update office staff on client progress as needed. The company describes its approach as holistic and person-directed, involving clients in their own care. Its Homewatch CareGivers University offers online accredited courses and resources to help caregivers build skills and meet training requirements related to caregiver certification and licensure. The agency is independently owned and operated, and its management makes hiring decisions.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Must have a valid driver's license and automobile insurance.
Must pass background checks and DMV checks, and have a negative TB test.
Ability to meet quality standards of care and follow standard procedures.
At least 1 year of personal or professional caregiving experience.
Home Care Aide (HCA) registration; the employer will assist with the process if the candidate is not already registered.

Responsibilities

Provide in-home care with a compassionate and caring attitude.
Help maintain a safe and comfortable home environment.
Assist clients with activities of daily living, such as walking, grooming, and bathing.
Assist clients with errands, appointments, and social activities.
Use the Care app to update office staff on client progress as needed.
