Caregiver Position Available - South Austin

About The Position

Halcyon Home is hiring skilled caregivers, including CNA and/or CMA candidates, to provide individualized, one-on-one personal care to clients in the greater Austin, San Marcos, and New Braunfels areas. The locally owned home health and hospice company emphasizes hospitality, compassion, and exceptional care for aging clients. Caregivers work day or night shifts ranging from 1 to 12 hours and must be willing to work at least 8 hours per week, which may consist of multiple short shifts. Full-time, part-time, and PRN hours are available. The stated pay range is $15–$20 per hour.

Requirements

COVID vaccinated or willing to be vaccinated.
Must have a current driver's license or state identification.
Must have reliable transportation to travel to assignments.
Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions and competently perform tasks assigned by a Supervisor or Scheduler.
Must agree to and pass a criminal history check, an Employee Misconduct Registry check, and a three-year driving-record check.
Must be willing to work at least 8 hours per week; hours may be split across multiple short shifts.

Nice To Haves

CNA license or CMA license is a plus.

Responsibilities

Provide bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal care.
Assist with incontinence care and toileting.
Handle daily laundry and linens and perform light housekeeping.
Prepare meals.
Provide medication reminders.
Support clients with dementia or memory care needs.
Provide standby assistance during walks.
Provide transportation and run errands.
Follow written and verbal instructions and perform tasks assigned by a Supervisor or Scheduler.
