About The Position

Halcyon Home is hiring skilled caregivers, including CNAs and/or CMAs, to provide individualized, one-on-one personal care to clients in the greater Austin, San Marcos, and New Braunfels areas. The company describes itself as a locally owned, fast-growing home health and hospice company that emphasizes hospitality and compassion to encourage positive outcomes for its aging clients. Shifts are available during the day and night and range from one to 12 hours. Full-time, part-time, and PRN hours are available, with a minimum commitment of eight hours per week, which may be divided among multiple short shifts.

Requirements

• Be COVID vaccinated or willing to be vaccinated.
• A CNA or CMA license is a plus.
• Have a current driver's license or state identification.
• Have reliable transportation to travel to assignments.
• Be able to follow written and verbal instructions and competently perform tasks assigned by a Supervisor or Scheduler.
• Agree to and pass a criminal history check, Employee Misconduct Registry check, and three-year driving record check.
• Be willing to work at least eight hours per week, which may consist of multiple short shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide bathing, dressing, grooming, and other personal care.
• Assist with incontinence care and toileting.
• Handle daily laundry and linens and perform light housekeeping.
• Prepare meals and provide medication reminders.
• Provide dementia and memory care.
• Provide standby assistance during walks.
• Provide transportation and run errands.
