Caregiver Employment Opportunities
About The Position
Guardian Angel Senior Services is hiring compassionate, dependable caregivers to provide quality in-home care to seniors in Athol, Massachusetts, and surrounding communities. Opportunities are open to experienced PCAs, HHAs, CNAs, and homemakers, as well as people beginning a caregiving career. Pay is $18.00 to $20.00 per hour, based on experience, skills, certifications, and qualifications. Scheduling opportunities include flexible and consistent schedules, 8- to 12-hour shifts, day and overnight shifts, and weekday and weekend work. Qualified new caregivers may earn a $250 sign-on bonus after completing their first 90 days, provided they work at least 20 hours per week and have no unexcused absences during that period. Caregivers help older adults remain safe, comfortable, and independent in their homes by providing personal care, companionship, meal preparation, light housekeeping, errands, medication reminders, and other support. The employer offers free training to qualified applicants who do not yet have HHA or CNA certification. Caregivers receive support from a dedicated office team.

Nice To Haves
- HHA or CNA certification is welcome when applicable.
- Prior experience as a PCA, HHA, CNA, or homemaker is applicable; people new to caregiving are also encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and personal care.
- Provide companionship and emotional encouragement.
- Prepare meals according to clients’ preferences and dietary needs.
- Help with light housekeeping and laundry.
- Run essential errands when needed.
- Provide medication reminders.
- Observe clients and report changes to the appropriate supervisor.
- Help clients maintain a safe and comfortable home.
- Provide respectful, dependable, and compassionate care.
