About The Position

Guardian Angel Senior Services is hiring caregivers to provide quality in-home care to seniors in Bernardston, Massachusetts, and surrounding communities. The role is open to experienced PCAs, HHAs, CNAs, and homemakers, as well as people beginning a caregiving career. Caregivers help older adults remain safe, comfortable, and independent at home by providing personal care, companionship, household assistance, and other support. Free training is available to qualified applicants who do not yet have HHA or CNA certification. The position offers pay of $18.00 to $20.00 per hour, based on experience, skills, certifications, and qualifications. Scheduling opportunities include 8- to 12-hour shifts, day or overnight shifts, and weekday or weekend work. Flexible and consistent scheduling opportunities are available. Qualified new caregivers may earn a $250 sign-on bonus after completing their first 90 days, provided they work at least 20 hours per week and have no unexcused absences during that period. The employer welcomes walk-in applications at its Amherst office, Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM. Nice To Haves

HHA or CNA certification is welcome when applicable.
PCA, HHA, CNA, homemaker, or other caregiving experience is welcome, though people new to caregiving may apply.
Qualified applicants without HHA or CNA certification may receive free training.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and other personal care.
Provide companionship, conversation, and emotional support.
Prepare meals according to client preferences and dietary needs.
Help with light housekeeping and laundry.
Run essential errands when needed.
Provide medication reminders.
Observe clients and report changes to the appropriate supervisor.
Help clients maintain a safe and comfortable home.
Provide respectful, dependable, and compassionate care.
