About The Position

Visiting Angels of Fairfield is hiring caregivers to provide non-medical home care and companionship to seniors. Caregivers help clients maintain independence and complete daily living activities, while treating them with respect and dignity. The position may require travel to Fairfield, Connecticut, and surrounding communities, including Easton, Southport, Shelton, Monroe, Bridgeport, Norwalk, Westport, Weston, and Trumbull. Flexible scheduling is available, with hiring for full-time, part-time, overnight, and live-in schedules.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• At least 6 months of caregiving experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Reliable transportation.
• Ability to speak and read English.

Nice To Haves

• Dementia experience preferred.
• Certified Nurse's Aide (CNA) or Home Health Aide (HHA) certification preferred.
• Ability to work in a facility environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide non-medical assistance and companionship to seniors in their homes.
• Assist with personal care and hygiene, including bathing and dressing.
• Help with household errands and provide transportation to and from appointments.
• Perform grocery shopping, meal preparation, and light housekeeping.
• Monitor medication schedules and provide reminders throughout the day.
