About The Position

Always Best Care Chicagoland is hiring compassionate caregivers to provide non-medical home care to seniors and help them remain safe and independent in their homes. Caregivers support clients with daily activities and follow their care plans. The agency serves DuPage, Will, and Cook Counties. The work location for this opening is Winfield, Illinois, and work is in person. Full-time, part-time, and live-in schedules are available. Paid training is provided.

Requirements

At least one year of caregiving or home care experience.
Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards.
Knowledge of housekeeping and cooking, including attention to dietary constraints.
Respectful, compassionate manner and good bedside manner.
Strong communication, time-management, and interpersonal skills.
Valid driver’s license.
Physical endurance to complete required tasks.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Must be able to work in the United States.
Must be very reliable.

Responsibilities

Provide medication reminders.
Assist clients with ambulation and mobility at home and outside, including during appointments and walks.
Assist clients with personal care and hygiene.
Help clients complete physical therapy and other recommended exercises.
Shop for clients or accompany them while shopping as needed.
Perform light housekeeping tasks clients cannot complete themselves, including meal preparation.
Report unusual incidents to the Care Coordinator.
Respond quickly and responsibly in emergencies.
Follow the client’s care plan.
